Describe your sound to our audience:
Shimmering Alternative-Pop music. Think late night drive, or long summer nights with a hint of nostalgia. I find it quite hard to put my music into a specific genre, I really enjoy being flexible with my sound and with the music I create.
Tell us about your career so far?
After my previous band split I wanted to find a way to craft my own sound, so I learned basic Ableton skills and pieced a couple of songs together for the first time. I sent those demos to a friend in Auckland, after that, we decided I’d head to his studio to record them properly. Then I released Dreamers and Little Too Late, that was the start of my journey as a solo artist.
What music/projects are you working on at the moment?
I’m focusing on my solo career as Laura Lee Lovely, and collaborating on a few singles with other musicians. I really enjoy being a solo artist as it allows me to collaborate with other artists and make more music.
Who are your biggest musical influences?
I don’t really have specific musical influences, my music is a reflection from the things I do and the experiences I have through life. Some artists that I’m listening to right now are, The Chromatics, Nancy Sinatra, Rihanna, Siobhan Sainte, Men I Trust, and I always go back to the soundtrack to the movie Drive.
Tell us about the first moment you tried the NuraLoop?
I was super excited that I could use such an advanced headphone, it was my first time using in-ear monitors too which was super exciting, the sound is so personal and clear. I love them so much now.
