Savannah Anand-Sobti is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Ladies of Leisure (LOL), a community that supports and encourages female-identifying people and their incredible creativity.
Running out of their newly opened space in Melbourne, LOL makes zines, runs workshops and designs merchandise all with the goal of helping their community be the best they can be. We sat down with Savannah to hear about what music inspires her to do this inspiring work.
I Owe You Nothing - Seinabo Sey
I Do - Cardi B feat SZA
The Night Song - Ravyn Lenae
Evan Finds the Third Room - Khruangbin
Perhaps a pop or RnB mix that everyone can get down to.
Music is a tool that we can use to shape our identity. I've always thought that it's so important to be openminded with music...everyone connects with it and uses it for different reasons. I apply the same thinking to my work. Just because you might not be able to relate to something...doesn't mean it isn't someone else's jam. With a bit more empathy and compassion, we can make things better for everyone.
I really like the touch sensitive features. Being able to turn the noise cancelling on and off is a dream.
